Filter Care Instructions:
- After using the filter, remove the used coffee grounds as soon as possible. This reduces thermal stress on the filter fibers by allowing the residual heat to dissipate, preserving the filter’s longevity.
- Collect used coffee grounds in a separate container—they make excellent fertilizer. With 80% of the grounds’ initial weight remaining after extraction, they are perfect for reuse.
- Hand wash the filter with cold water and mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals. Rinse immediately with cold water and allow the filter to air dry. The filter fibers do not absorb water but allow it to evaporate quickly.
- Depending on the grind size and roast level, regular cleaning with detergent is recommended every 3–5 uses.
- Use a mild, environmentally responsible detergent without dyes or added fragrances. Avoid hand sanitizers, as they are not suitable for the filter material.
- Apply a small drop of detergent to the wet filter for a few seconds to restore it to its original condition. Then rinse thoroughly to remove detergent and any coffee residues.
- Avoid using a dishwasher, as this could damage the filter material. The Precise Brew filter can be quickly dried or reused immediately after cleaning.
